Walking with Mercy since 1831

Casa de Misericordia exists to respond to the needs of our time, a time marked by polarization and division, violence and fear, global crises and massive migration. At the heart of Casa de Misericordia is an intentional community composed of persons of diverse genders, backgrounds, ages and faith traditions. We form and live out common agreements around spirituality, community and service. We hold as a core value presence to God, one another and the wider community. Purposely located near the USA/Mexico border in Southern California, we are a listening presence among migrant persons and are responsive to need through direct service and systemic action. We seek to form relationships characterized by mutuality and inclusivity. By collaborating with others in works of mercy, we learn to be more merciful.

Casa de Misericordia, a community of action and contemplation, believes all humans share a common home - all are welcome.
